The KF-1076 cotton filter is supplied pre-oiled. When servicing it, use the appropriate S&B Precision II cleaning and oiling products and apply the specified oil quantity for the filter application; correct oiling is important to filtration performance. Do not install a filter with damaged media, a distorted sealing flange, or an improperly seated clamp, as these conditions can allow unfiltered air into the intake system.
A restricted, damaged, or improperly installed air filter may contribute to reduced airflow, sluggish acceleration, increased intake noise, poor fuel economy, visible filter damage, or a check-engine light. If a fault occurs after filter service, verify that the filter is fully seated, clamps are secure, and all intake connections and sensors were reconnected before diagnosing other vehicle issues.
When purchased from an authorized S&B dealer, S&B products are covered for the original purchaser by the manufacturer’s Million Mile Limited Warranty under normal driving conditions and for their intended vehicle application. No. KF-1076 and KF-1076D are replacement filters designed for compatible S&B intake systems, not the factory GM airbox.
