Common failures of the Ford 7.3L, 6.0L and 6.4L Powerstroke diesel engine is glow plug faults.
Glow plugs help the truck warm the cylinder air and improve cold starts and performance.
"P0670 - Glow plug control module communication fault" can be caused by a connection concern either with poor pin fit or with inadequate or failed connector locks. The rubber connector seals can also get dislodged and prevent proper locking.
Glow plugs pull about 25 amps each meaning if one is shorted or has high resistance it can burn the contacts in the relay and connector. Visual inspection of the connector can usually reveal failures.

Resistance value for a good glow plug is roughly .5-1.0 ohms.
