The 7.3L Ford Powerstroke is known to have exhaust leaks from the Y-pipe aka Up-pipes. The original design from International was flawed due to the crush donut gaskets used to seal the pipes to the Y-pipe collector. Over time engine vibrations or mechanical repairs would break the crush seal and allow the pipes to vibrate resulting in exhaust leaks.
This new kit is designed with bellows to allow flexibility in the pipe and a flat flange with metal crush gaskets at the Y-pipe collector. This prevents leakage at the common area and in most cases prevents ever having the same failure again.
The pipes are made from 304 stainless steel to prevent rust or corrosion and collector is made from high quality cast iron and precision machined for a perfect fit. Fedex 2-day air available in most areas.
