Replacing the ICP Sensor in your 2003/Early ’04 6.0L PowerStroke There are a few important things to know…

The location of the early 6.0L ICP Sensor was designed in a volatile position. The sensor sits in a position that is about 5 inches from the turbo, and only about 3 inches away from the turbos up-pipes. Exhaust gas temperatures (EGT’s) in these pipes can reach up to 1,000°F in this location depending on different factors. What this means for you, the truck owner, is that this sensor sits in a location that is often subjected to temperatures significantly higher than sensors were able to withstand at the time this technology on your truck was released to the market.
