Fits 1999-2003 Ford Powerstroke 7.3L Diesel
Remanufactured injector driver module IDM for Ford 7.3L Diesel.
This module controls the injection and sends the voltage to fire the fuel injectors when commanded by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
Common failures for this part are Crank no start, internal failure codes, hard start, smoking, misfires and lack of power.
Running an injector BUZZ test is a good way to see if you have any weak injectors or bad solenoids. The BUZZ test or Injector Electrical On Demand Test is a scan tool commanded diagnostic test to test all the circuits from the IDM to the injectors.
It is very common to have failures in the harness at the valve covers or under valve covers harnesses. Cheap aftermarket harnesses also fail right out of the box.
We recommend only using OEM or OEM style valve cover gaskets and harnesses that plug in under the valve cover. One piece valve cover gaskets / harnesses are no good.
