NEW EGR Valve for Ford 6.0L Powerstroke Diesel 2004.5-2007 Late Build
The EGR system is one of the most troublesome systems of the Ford 6.0L Powerstroke diesel engine and the EGR valve is a common failure point. When it comes to keeping your Superduty up and running right there is a lot of choices for parts out there. We often see EGR valve failures cause a check engine light with codes such as P0401, P0402, P0404, P0405 and even a P0299. Also you could see a lack of power or black smoke out the tailpipe, hard to start engine or even in severe cases a no start.
When replacing the EGR valve be sure to check the EGR cooler for leaking or any signs of moisture or soot collection in the intake to prevent repeat failures.
