Make sure you replace your stock water pump with a Sinister Diesel Welded Duramax Water Pump to be sure your engine is free from further issues. The factory LBZ, LMM, and LML water pump on the Duramax is known to slip on the shaft, and even more prone to slipping when more power is added. If either the impeller or gear slips on the shaft, you could see severe and damaging overheating under the hood of your Duramax truck, that could very expensive to repair.
